Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California, on February 24th, 1955. In the late 1950’s, Jobs moved to Santa Clara County, California, to live there. In the 1960’s-1970’s, Jobs did not do well in a strict school and when he was tested, he moved to middle school.

In 1971, he enrolled to Homestead High school and when he was there, he met his new long life friend, Steve Wozniak. A few years later, in 1972, Jobs and Wozniak enrolled to Reed college, Portland, Oregon, where Jobs only attended classes that he really enjoyed. In 1974, they both started to work for Atari; as a video game designer. Then, Jobs started to create computers in his free time.

A few years later, in 1976, he started to make computers, with the help of Wozniak. Then, fifty Apple 1 computers were sold followed in 1977, Apple 2 computers went out on sale. Apple then became a multimillion dollar company. However Macintosh then went on sale and a couple of months later, they became poor. A few years later, in 1985, Jobs quit as CEO of Apple and bought the animation company called PIXAR.

Between 1986-1993, Jobs attempted to make and sell neXT computers failed while Jobs and PIXAR fought to stay open. In 1994, Toy Story opens and was a big hit. Microsoft was doing well, but in that time, Apple was failing. In 1997-1998, Apple buys neXT and Steve Jobs is boss and Powermac and Powerbook go on sale. Apple then takes over all the markets.

In 1999-2006, iMac, iBook, iMovie, Mac OSX, iTunes, iDvd, iPhoto and iPod go on sale. Finally iTunes music store was created. In 2007- 2010, the all new iPad and iPhone go on sale – selling millions in days.

Sadly in 2010, Steve Jobs died on October 5th, aged 56, from Pancreatic Cancer.

Now in 2014 Apple company is now worth over $621 billion.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Third Wheel
Jeff Kinney
217 pages
Published 2012 by Amulet books

The story:
There's a boy called Greg Heffley who is very ordinary but he is weird
in different ways. One of them is that he has a diary.
So, there is a Valentines dance and his school and Greg are trying
to find a date. His best friend Rowley Jefferson wants to go with
him, but he doesn't have a date, either. Greg then worries he'll
be left out in the cold on the big night. But then, Rowley is the
odd man out instead of Greg.

Characters: Greg Heffley(hilarious), Rowley Jefferson(weird), Susan Heffley(mum and is embarrassing),
Frank Heffley(dad and is annoying), Mr Jefferson and Abigail(Greg's date and is desperate because she wants a date so badly).

Highlights:
When Greg wrote letters to the dance, to himself, so it would look
he was already taken, so girls would like him better. Also, the girls
would gang round him because he has had lots letters from girls to
the dance.

Any weak bits:
There are no weak bits. The book was amazing.

Unputdownable:
I grabbed this book whenever the TV or radio came on and read it rather than playing on the WII or my iPad.
