The Life Story of Steve Jobs

This biography is all about Steve Jobs, most famous for creating the company Apple. He lived from 1955 to 2011 in San Francisco, California. If you want to find out more about this amazing man, read on.
 
Steve Jobs was born to Joanne Simpson and Abdullah Jandali. They placed Steve for adoption because they were unmarried. As an infant Steve was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs and they named him Steve Paul Jobs. Jobs enroll in high school but he used to spend his own time playing around with electronics. It was at his high school that he met Steve Wozniak. Wozniak was a brilliant computer engineer and whom would later on start Apple.
 
After high school, Jobs enrolled at Reed college in Portland, Oregon. Lacking direction, he dropped out of college after six months and spent the next eighteen months dropping in and out of creative classes. Jobs later recounted how one course of calligraphy developed his love of typography. In 1974 Jobs took a position of a video game designer with Atari. In 1976, when Jobs was 21,he and Wozniak started Apple computers.
 
The Apple 2 computer went on sale and it became a multi-million dollar company in 1977. However, when Macintosh went on sale it was poor. However, the next several products from Apple suffered significant design flaws resulting in recalls and consumer disappointment. IBM suddenly surpassed Apple sales, and Apple had to compete with IBM/PC dominated business world. Jobs then quited as a CEO of Apple and buys an animation company called Pixar.
 
Steve attempt to make and sell NeXT computer fails. Despite Pixar’s success, NeXT, Inc. floundered in its attempts to sell its specialized operating system to mainstream America. Apple eventually bought the company in 1997 for $429 million. That same year, Jobs returned to his post as Apple’s CEO.With a new management team, altered stock options and a self-imposed annual salary of $1 a year, Jobs put Apple back on track. His genius products such as imac brought his business back together and the stylish designs brought customers once again.
 
In 2003 Jobs found out that he had a tumor a rare but operable form of Pancreatic cancer. Jobs did not go to surgery straight away, but carried on making Apple products and Apple introduced Macbook Air, iPod and iPhone, all of which are made out of modern technology. In 2008, iTunes became the second biggest music retailer in America-second only to Wal-Mart.
 
In the early 1990s, Jobs met Laurene Powell at Stanford business school, where Powell was an MBA student. They married on March 18, 1991, and lived together in Palo Alto, California, with their three children. On October 5, 2011, Apple Inc. announced that its co-founder had passed away. After battling pancreatic cancer for nearly a decade, Steve Jobs died in Palo Alto. He was 56 years old.
 
Jobs was really important because he made a new technology which millions of people are buying. If we didn’t have these ipads or iphones then we wouldn’t have a device that billions of people love and treasure. It is all due to Steve Jobs’ hard work.
